Traditionally, a bustle is a pad or framework that is worn under a skirt or gown to expand in behind. Our bustle has a slightly modern take in that it is worn over a skirt or gown because it is made just from fabric, and not framework. This bustle is made from lightweight poly/cotton fabric and comes in colors that match quite a few of our corsets, bodices, cinchers and skirts. The bustle will simply tie onto your waistline. You'll want to put your skirt on first, then put the bustle on and then put the bodice or corset on so that covers up the tie string from the bustle. This bustle is appropriate for high renaissance, Victorian and steampunk outfits. Made in the USA.
