Renaissance Nobility Chemise

In this creation we drew upon the authentic cut of the XVIth century undershirts, chiefly Italian ones. Similar clothes can be seen at Botticelli paintings. This chemise is a fully functional undergarment item according to the standards both of Renaissance epoch and of modern word - it combines underclothe and bodice.

The whole system of delicate goldy eyelets and metallized goldy braided ties tightens bust from all sides with some push-up effect while arranged in folds light fabric emphasizes and visually volumizes bust. Astonishing result turns to unique embraceable character of an antique Nymph or even a Goddess. It was very trendy among the beauties of the italian Renaissance to resemble heroines of the antique legends and myths in the way they were introduced by statues and frescoes of ancient Rome and Hellas.

Chemise is made of two layers of thin flax linen to avoid transparency. Sleeves are made of one layer of the same linen but are very wide and can be triced at biceps.
